"Each year we enjoy seeing
our guests return. |

Located on the east central side of Lake of the Woods, in Whitefish Bay, Crawford's is near the clearest and deepest part of the lake. There's a 220' hole right around the point! Here you'll enjoy access to all the game fish available in the area: Walleye, Lake Trout, Muskie, Northern, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Perch, Whitefish, Sauger, Ling Cod and numerous other species of rough fish. ’Many years ago, Native Indians traveled hundreds of miles each year form down south to spend the summer in our area, enjoying the scenery, fishing, hunting and harvesting the wilderness food available in the area. They were one of the first summer guests to the area. Now thousands of people follow in their footsteps each year to enjoy our pine covered islands, clear water, rock cliffs, quiet coves, soaring eagles. There is nothing that can compare to the total relaxation of just getting back to the peace and quite of unspoiled natural beauty at her finest. Natural stress release at your fingertips.
There’s nothing like getting up in the morning, starting your snowmobile, and embarking on a day of winter adventure. The area is surrounded with groomed trails, fresh powder, long lake runs, winter portage trails and enough miles of open range to fill any snowmobilers need for fun and enjoyment. |

There’s no point in letting your snowmobiles sit in the garage when you can take them out on Beautiful Lake of the Woods for some great riding. And if you don’t have your own snowmobiles, we do offer rentals here at the camp. If you are interested in renting, than please contact for pricing. |

Lake of the Woods offers many opportunities for the avid and beginner anglers. Close to camp (and I mean close) is some of the best Lake Trout in Ontario. Many different points, drop offs, flats and island chains offer some great Lake Trout fishing. |
There is also Guided fishing trips for the day. An experienced guide from the area will take you on the lake for the day showing different fishing spots and tactics to finely tune your fishing skills on Lake of the Woods. The Guided day trips cost $150 Canadian. There is the possibility of having a Fresh Walleye Shore lunch but it would be dependant on the weather. Most people prefer to bring sandwiches or a packed lunch due to the shorter hours for fishing in Winter. |

Plan your next ice fishing getaway to Lake of the Woods and enjoy some great walleye or crappie fishing, leave from our resort on your snowmobile for a great ice fishing getaway. A note from Matt Winter is here and it looks like it will be a good one. We've got about five inches of snow right now and the Lake has been completely frozen over for a week, maybe a two. We should have a ton of ice by Christmas and there will be no worries for the opening of Lake Trout season this January 1st. A lot of guys are still wondering how the end of the Deer Season went this Fall and I'll give you a little recap. The Rut seemed to go in short spurts, and the deer didn't run around for too many days. It just seemed like there was no competition for Does and the Bucks could easily find what they were looking for. The guys in the last week were able to find their bucks, but nothing as big as the last year. Each guy, except for Doug, was able to find a decent buck, nice 8's and 10's. It wasn't that the deer weren't there but many of the hunters saw big Bucks and some even had attempts at these big Bucks (ATTEMPTS) but weren't successful. That's what hunting is though, it's not always a guarantee. I'm pretty sure there is still a boy in the Gibson party that is having some bad dreams at night, and a few others that have been at the shooting range for a week or two when they got home. HAHAHA, it's all in good fun boys and there's nothing to be ashamed of, I think I might have missed one or two in my life as well (Each year). We got all the cabins closed down and set up for Winter now. Cabins 6, 6A, and 8 are still open for the Winter and I welcome anyone that would like to come up and Ice Fish with us this winter. Lake Trout season opens January 1st and Walleye and Crappie are already open. It should be a fun year and I'm definitely looking forward to doing a few more portage lakes this Winter. COME ON TIMMY PETERSON!! I'm waiting for the Brainerd crew, it's always a fun time. Well, if you have any questions please feel free to email us at Crawford@kmts.ca or call us on our toll free number 1 888 COM FISH (266 3474). HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
